She was born in Glenridge, NJ and lived in Long Branch before moving to West Long Branch in 1961. Mrs. Giglio was a communicant of Star of the Sea RC Church, Christ The King Parish, Long Branch. She was a 1949 graduate of Long Branch High School. Mrs. Giglio loved to tend to her garden, and enjoyed floral decorating, as well as decorating cakes that she baked. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents Ann and William Thomas; her daughter, Karen Patricia Kaschak; a brother William Thomas and two sisters, Betty Thomas Acker and Audrey Rush. Surviving is her husband, Ernest Giglio; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kathleen Kenny-Giglio, Oakhurst; a daughter, Jane Giglio-Sananes, Middletown; a son-in-law, Joseph Kaschak, Branchburg, NJ; five sisters, Barbara De Santis, Long Branch, Miriam Bonforte, Long Branch, Natalie Coppola, Eatontown, Carol Thomas, Oceanport and Judith Strollo, West Long Branch; a grandson, Jack Thomas Giglio; three granddaughters, Kristin, Kimberly and Katherine Kaschak; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, July 8th, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch, NJ. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 AM Friday, July 9th at the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 AM at Star of the Sea RC Church, Second Ave., Long Branch.
