Ann Marie Bonpua, 78 of West Long Branch, passed away Saturday, July 10th at the Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mrs. Bonpua was born in Summit, NJ and was raised in Patterson, before moving to Long Branch with her husband Dr. Cesar Tio-Bonpua while he did his residency at Monmouth Medical Center. They moved to West Long Branch in 1960. She was a former communicant of St. Jerome RC Church, West Long Branch. Mrs. Bonpua was an avid gardner, and achieved her Master of Gardner Certificate from Rutger's University. She was a member of the Member of Monmouth County Master Gardner Association, the Oceanport Garden Club and a member of the West Long Branch Leisure Club. Mrs. Bonpua was an avid traveler enjoying many trips to the Orient and throughout the United States. Her husband Dr. Cesar L. Tio-Bonpua died in 1988. Surviving is her son Mark Bonpua, Matawan; six daughters and son-in-laws, Joanne and Jake Chek, Jackson Twp., Diane and Sal Tringola, Monmouth Beach, Dawn and Harry Colmorgen, Middletown, De., Susanne and Don Asay, Rumson, Marianne and Gerard Scala, Oceanport and Patricia Bonpua, West Long Branch; her grandchildren, Cara, Abigal, Michael, Jessica, Chasey, Donald Jr., Christopher, Daenna, Jonathan, Gabrielle, Kristan and Gregory; and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wed. July 14, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St., Long Branch. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 15th, 10:00 AM at Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Interment will follow in Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
